The 2014 Annual General Meeting was held on March 13, 2014. For 2014/2015 the Vancouver iDeveloper Meetup group has become structured more formally. With Aaron Hilton stepping down as President there were some big shoes to fill. Elections were held for the coming year to get a team of volunteers to help the group to grow. Chris Hobbs organized the elections. As he wrote: ”Evolution and change is good. We will be adopting an executive body to help steer the meetups.”
Elections were held for the following positions:
President – Sets up the speaker list and group stewardship
Vice-President – iCandy, steps into the role of President if he / she isn’t available.
Treasurer – Financial organization.
Internal Relations Officer – Sets up and manages the meeting space and prints out name tags.
External Relations Officer – Sponsorship.
Communications Officer – Website SEO and getting the message out.
Executive Officer (multiple) – set up a bi-annual hackathon like events.
